To Whom It May Concern,
Now that the voters have spoken and approved the Joint Technical Education District (JTED) encompassing Kingman, Colorado River, Lake Havasu City and Parker school districts, the State wants to cut our funding.
There is a budget floating at the statehouse that will cut state aid for the two newly authorized and approved JTEDs. The existing JTEDs will still receive their funding but not the two new JTEDs. They apparently feel that the local tax (as small as that may be) would be sufficient enough for us to educate and develop our children into a viable, reliable workforce.
In other words, they want to “move Arizona forward” but NOT through education.
Our children need you, the business and community leaders, to voice your support of the JTED. Please call and email our political leaders and let them know this CAN NOT happen. Our children are just as important as the rest of the state.

From the email bag...
A local friend of mine sent me an email that I've decided to copy and post on this blog. It is education related, as education issues are hot in Arizona lately.
